You'd think an Orange Bowl between Georgia...
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
You'd think an Orange Bowl between Georgia and Florida State would get butts in the seats, but that's not the case and ticket brokers are the ones suffering...
quote:

“We’ve seen a little bit of action from Georgia in ticket sales, but they’re just tired of traveling,” a ticket broker told OutKick. “But from a Florida State standpoint, we definitely bought too much inventory. We thought the fanbase would be excited to at least see a matchup against Georgia, but we were wrong in a big way. I had twenty workers at the SEC title game where I met you at, but I’ll probably only send 5-8 guys to Miami.

“You can buy tickets online for eighty bucks, while the regular get-in price was $125 to start. So imagine all the inventory we bought thinking it would be an easy sell for fans traveling throughout the state. Now I’m going to have my guys outside the stadium just trying to break even."

If anyone feel's remotely bad for the scumbags at Ticketmaster and Stubhub i dont know what to tell you. It makes my heart happy.

The way college football has gone, basically minor league pro, not surprising. Who would want to watch two NFL teams play in the post season when they didn't make the playoffs?

Good! Screw this new college football reality. The whole business model is going to crash and burn.

College football in general created this shitty product. Now suffer the consequences

Last time I paid face value-- real face value-- was as student 20 years ago. They've got a lot more money to lose until we're even.

The CFP created this. FSU getting snubbed out of the CFP also created this. Why would FSU fans want to attend this game? Their top players don’t want to play in the game. I do not pity the ticket brokers at all.

Bowl season in general will be like this moving forward. Thanks to NIL and op outs!

Same thing happened UGA vs FSU in the sugar bowl in 02. Tickets were practically free by kickoff

This feels like a preseason game tbh. I have very little interest as a GA fan

Screw them and anyone who thought this game would sell tickets is kidding themselves. McMurphy tweeted when the match up was announced that they would sell a ton. I couldn’t believe it. Florida St has 0 interest in this game and neither does Georgia and ESPN and their playoff can thank themselves for it

This is true and exactly why FSU was jumped by Texas. No one believes in FSU anymore, no one.

Frick the ticket brokers for buying up tickets and the gouging us on prices.

That said, this sucks that no one cares about 5 vs 6 in the Orange Bowl. They may as well start playing bowl games in television studios.

"Here from Burbank with a live studio audience...it's college football live!"

Imagine going back in time 20 years and telling a CFB fan that there’s nothing compelling about watching a #5 FSU and #6 UGA in the Orange Bowl. This is where we are now with college football.

Oh and if you are tired of traveling now, just wait until the new world order is complete, we have two super-conferences and half of your in-conference games require cross-country flights.

But everyone wants to say how great the CFP is for the sport….

12 team playoff will be amazing for the sport. It's extremely obvious why this is happening and it begins and ends with the ESPN committee for the playoff.

With opt outs and NIL Transfers will either team be able to have enough scholarship players. FSU down to their last QB as well.

UGA barely has any opt out. Almost all their guys are playing. FSU players and fans don't give a damn because they were screwed.
