Kentucky Derby Is Banning Self Sticks
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
If you don't know what a selfie stick is, as the picture above shows, it's a stick that attaches to your phone so you can take a picture of yourself. Well, according to The Courier-Journal, the Kentucky Derby is laying down the law three weeks before May 2 and banning these sticks. Churchill Downs also is changing its re-entry policy for the event

How will anyone have fun taking selfies at close range? I don't know.

I'm not up to date on this stuff, but why are places banning this? Because it's a stick, it might be used for a weapon???? I really don't understand.
