Four-star defensive lineman Kalen Edwards backed off his verbal pledge to Auburn this week.

Edwards, a 6-4, 330-pound lineman from Dyersburg, Tenn., leaves the Tiger with seven commitments for the class of 2025. Per AL.com:

Edwards had been committed to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers since late November as the 4-star defensive line prospect committed to Auburn just two days after his unofficial visit during the 2023 Iron Bowl.

Now, Edwards will look to weigh all his options.

“I want to take this time to see what’s out there and what’s best for me and my family,” Edwards said.

Rated the eighth-best prospect out of the state of Tennessee and the 32nd-best defensive lineman in the 2025 class by 247Sports, Edwards currently holds 15 offers.
