Not exactly an explanation. Dumb call after 3 straight timeouts...run directly into the strength of the UM D when it hadn't worked all night. Brilliant!

Les Miles version of brilliant except this time it was Saban. Let’s qb sneak up the middle. What was he thinking?IDK

Tommy Rees has all that time and that is his brilliant play call.

Idiotic play call.

Guess they were thinking “no one would go up the middle on 4th and 3, defense will never expect it”.

There's too much film of Saban's tendencies. A coach like Harbaugh probably thought to himself, "Saban is thinking on a 4th and 3, we won't be expecting a QB up the middle, so he's going to send Milroe up the middle. Defense... stack the middle."

He's covering for his center's low snap. Milroe had to abandon the RPO play that was called.

RPO? The RB motioned out to the left.

It's because he is white and protecting his white center because he is Rawsists!

FLTech YOU want to make it about race, then lets make it about race. Maybe he is protecting he black QB who obviously ran with his eyes closed because he ran right into the back of his black left tackel, who got blown up on the play!! Remember you were the one to make it about race!!

The fact that it had a very small percentage chance of working made it a bad call.

The fact that you ran into the strength of Michigan's defense made it a really bad all you putz.

Everyone knew it would be a Milroe run. That's the issue when you have a dual threat QB that really isn't a dual threat. He's a RB playing QB.

You have to put pressure on the defense. He could have rolled out with run/pass option. Get him in space where he can make something happen. Maybe a D-9 dozer would have made the run up the middle work. He had no chance.

He had no chance because their left tackle got blown up and pushed into the backfield. Also the QB ran with his head down and ran right into the outstretched leg of his own tackel.
