Not good news for the Crime Tide. Early Saturday Morning Alabama senior defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand was arrested for driving under the influence...

Hand is considered a first round prospect in next year’s NFL Draft. Here was his coach Nick Saban's response...
quote:

“This type of behavior is not acceptable and we are disappointed in Da’Shawn’s actions. We are still gathering information and will evaluate what we need to do in terms of appropriate discipline as we move forward, so better choices and decisions can be made in the future.”

There won't be any punishment. His GA will keep doing his work for him and everything will be fine. Hell, Saban didn't even suspend his two upstanding guys last year that were arrested with guns and drugs

Does anyone know what his BAC was also? I could have 2 beers and go drive and legally be drunk but not REALLY be drunk. Not intending to give the kid a free pass just noting how strict those breathalyzers are now a days.

I don't like when people DUI, however, the posts below just want him off the team because he is a starter and it'd give your team a better chance to win. Y'all don't care about the crime, just want EVERYONE kicked off cause you might actually win one against bama.

... also the same people that have forgotten about honey badger and LSU team votes, etc.

Same thing happened to Darren Carrington.

This will be handled internally....meaning this will be swept under the rug

Starter = safe, backup = history

Why do I have this hunch that he will not get dropped from the team?

Why would getting dropped from the team even be on the table? Are you retarded?

It is common knowledge that recently retired Ouachita Parish DA, Jerry Jones, has been temporarily hired as the Tuscaloosa County DA.

Will sit out the first play of the last squad scrimmage. I feel more sorry for the arresting officer, he'll be discharged. Screw the gumps

Sucks how he's gonna miss those practices.

FSU is first up. He will have an unannounced suspension like DJ Hall. If bammer is losing, his suspension will be lifted by halftime.

I think it's important to note that Mr. Hand also has spent his lifetime without the comfort of air conditioning.
