Why do people keep saying this? I’m totally confused by this. Not one person outside of RGIII thinks Milroe is a decent QB.

Bama may score a few more points but his play is absolutely atrocious and leads to:

1. Turnovers
2. The defense being on the field WAY too much and getting gassed (i.e. Texas). Did you not see how fresh the defense was yesterday against a decent offensive coach/team yesterday?

That is completely unacceptable to every coach in America.

It’s horrible logic. You can’t just think of the offensive side of things - the WHOLE team is affected.

It's pretty sad, but there's some people that probably believe this. The interceptions excuse to not play Milroe died when Buchner was the QB we turned to to play game manager after Milroe's struggle. He had 8 INTs in 83 pass attempts at ND under the same OC. Based on some of the passes he threw yesterday, I'm somewhat surprised Buchner even threw 8 catchable balls.

Milroe has worked with the 1's in spring, all summer long, in fall camp, and in game prep. Ty, by all accounts, has been with the 2's and 3's. Milroe should look better than Ty yet, in my opinion, he doesn't. I want to see what Ty does with a full week with the 1's, knowing he's the guy. Milroe has had every opportunity to win the job and he hasn't. I say go with the guy that can develop and continue to grow.

I'm not saying we score 35 more points, but this is a very poor argument to make against Milroe. Texas had just 2 more minutes in time of possession than freaking USF did.

Why did the defense look more gassed last week than yesterday? Maybe that has something to do with us playing a top 10 team with a premier offensive mind that knows our system last week and then a team that won one game last year yesterday...

His lack of time with the 1's is a valid point to make, but Simpson's issues yesterday weren't related to that. He couldn't sense the pass rush and didn't have any signs of urgency in getting rid of the ball. If he had a decent offensive line, then I'd agree with you, but he doesn't. I think Simpson could be our QB of the future once this pass protection is fixed, but behind this OL he's not going to last 2 full games.

Every pass play called seemed like it was a deep shot. He had maybe one or two quick throws. The OC didn't do him any favors.

None of the qb's have a sense of the pass rush...the offense other than the receivers is a total shitshow 3 games in.

I don't know. I think timing with the receivers is an underrated part of getting work with the 1's. Simpson definitely held the ball too long on some drop backs. I just think some time with the 1's would help that. Knowing a receivers tendencies and when they come out of their breaks is huge.

This is the dumbshit people say here which makes people think this is about race. Milroe literally drilled a better team into submission week one (MTSU). However now because he showed us all what we already knew (Milroe isn't a pocket passer) he is a bum that would play loek Buchner or worse.

It’s no different than saying we’d be up by 35 and has nothing to do race, that’s on you dude.

If Milroe wouldn’t have gifted Texas two possessions last week and helped lose the game I’d be all for him.

This was Ty Simpson's first live game action if we are really being honest.

He has a lot to work with and he has things to work on. Awareness is one of them but that comes with live reps.

What I did notice was...

Ty Simpson got folks lined up correctly, made heads up plays, and he didn't turn the ball over.

Was it pretty...No! But with all the first team reps...I think he would've been a lot better than what he was which wasn't bad.

Simpson wasn't awful, you can see the potential.

Buchner reminded me of when Bruce played QB in the Longest Yard
