Look I'm not here to argue that Simpson looked great or anything. But I do think it's a whole different game if he starts instead of coming in after Buchner sucked all the energy out of the stadium.

Simpson basically played a half and change. The offense put up 17 points with him. If he gets the whole game maybe we score 35ish or even more because the I don't think the team plays as poorly without the funk Buchner left them in.

Plus he'd have had more time to get dialed in and comfortable if he had started. I don't know if he's the answer moving forward or if there even is one. But I think we're discussing a different game if he'd gotten the start.

He should have gotten a series or two at least vs Tejas.

Dude he made like 1 good play and it was with great pass protection.

If Milroe started we are probably up by 35 at half.

There was NO getting dialed in or comfortable.

Did you see any QB back there dropping back and scanning the field and driving off their back foot?

Dialed?

Who the frick is getting dialed with this OL?

He made one good play down field and had trouble completing short to intermediate passes.

It doesn't matter what I think, but I just don't understand how people think that he is the better option than Milroe.

I genuinely think that we'll lose 3 more games if Simpson starts.

I think what people are failing to comprehend is just how bad USF is.

And they looked like the '85 bears against us for most of the game.

Do you think we run the table with Milroe? I think we lose 3 more regardless of who plays QB because the OL is just appalling.

Absolutely not.

I think we have a punchers chance to win the west with him. Likely not though.

I don't think we have a punch at all with the other two.

Thought he threw a beautiful slant to Bond I believe. Again I'm not saying I thought he looked great. I'm saying if he'd gotten the whole game he might have continued to improve and ended having a good showing.

Nobody in 2023 is winning anything of note with a one-read QB. That shite just doesn’t work against decent teams.

It’s been a long time since I didn’t know who we should play at multiple positions. QB no freaking idea.

They going to lose 3 or 4 more games regardless of who starts the rest of the season. Next week might be nasty. Kiffen isn't going to call the dogs off even if he's up 70 at half time. Lack of team speed and no pass rush or Oline blocking.

If Milroe started we are probably down 35 at half, with 5 pick sixes.

I'm not saying we won't lose 3 more, but to me it's pretty clear that Milroe gives us the best chance of salvaging this season behind that line.

Yes and that’s part of CNS’ problem potentially and long term. IMHO.
JM would have played the entire third Q. Then Buchner and maybe TS would have spent part of the 4th Q handing off to Jam and Haynes. If we hit the 60’s, maybe Longeran could have handed off the last minute or so.

Saban has always waited to substitute liberally on offense until the game was embarrassingly out of hand. Then his subs don’t run the offense. I never quite understood that about him.

Is it more beneficial to let the 1’s run up the score or the 2’s and 3’s getting meaningful playing time?

This is the dumbshit people say here which makes people think this is about race.

Milroe literally drilled a better team into submission week one (MTSU).

However now because he showed us all what we already knew (Milroe isn't a pocket passer) he is a bum that would play loek Buchner or worse.

Boz, you know who... you just don't like the answer lol.

I'm telling you if we move Proctor to guard, drop Dalcourt and gel we could fix our OL.

If our OC who is getting paid a king's ransom caters the offense to our QBs skillet we would have an identity and would be favored in the West.

It isn't impossible.

We just need Saban to shake the RIGHT things up
