OM pitcher is doing a great job of mixing pitches / speed so far

TJ is just right behind so many pitches. Needs to speed it up some

Lebron gives me 18 year old Alex Rodriguez vibes,
They have some similar mannerisms.

3-1 after a 2-run bomb by Bronny
4-1 after back to back dubs from Hodo and Snell.
Disclaimer: Hodo’s should have been an out but CF misplayed it.
We rollin

Need to close this one out. Road series win in SEC is always beneficial.

If you throw first pitch fastball to Gage, he is swinging it. I love it

Will they put Adams back out there, or let someone else close it out?
Posted on 4/27/24 at 4:36 pm to BigAlWifey
Was kinda wondering if he’d go back out. Pitch count is up. Probably waited too long but honestly with the bullpen how it is I get it.

Yea you could tell he was tired but I get it

Around 100 pitches should be fine this time of year if things are going easy (and they were) . Great performance from Adams. Need to make a tough decision on the weekend rotation with Hess. Don’t know what the options are besides Moza and Snell but Hess is a mess right now

10-3 Alabama in the 9th. Let’s go

Roll damn Tide. We are sitting nicely with this road series win.

Good series win on the road. Would have been nice to sweep, but 2-3 was a must. Keep winning series against this easier part of our schedule and we’ll be good! MSU series is big

I feel like I’ve been saying it since the Tennessee series but….
Massive win
Massive win

We were 9-12 in the SEC at this point last season. Let’s finish the same. Schedule is very manageable.

We averaged 9 runs per game the last 6 SEC games. We’re hitting the ball and scoring pretty well. We’ve got four players in the top 25 and five in the top 40 in batting average in conference (Miller is 6th at .380). We’re 3rd in SEC team batting average (.310).
But we’re 10th in team ERA (5.35) and ERs allowed (220) and 13th in HRs allowed (64).
I’m not sure if those stats include today or even this series.
Can some of you BOGs analyze and decipher that for us?

Massive road win and some added separation in league standings. Needed at least 2 and got that. Need to repeat this upcoming weekend. No midweek game this week.

Alabama baseball used late offense and a solid start from Zane Adams to clinch the series at Ole Miss with a 10-3 victory on Saturday afternoon at Swayze Field. With the win, the 18th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 28-16 overall and 9-12 in Southeastern Conference play.
Ole Miss got on the board with one in the second before Alabama evened the score in the third thanks to a solo homer from Gage Miller. Both teams would go scoreless until the sixth when the Tide began a stretch of seven unanswered runs to build an 8-1 advantage headed to the bottom of the eighth. The Rebels got two back on a homer in that inning, but UA countered with two in the ninth for the 10-3 final.
Miller tied for the team-high total for hits with three as part of a 3-for-5 day that included the homer, two RBI and a run scored. Mac Guscette matched Miller with three knocks, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, a homer, two RBI, two runs and a hit-by-pitch. Also homering on the afternoon was Justin Lebron, his second in as many days.
Adams (4-2) put together another standout start in SEC play, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts across 7.0-plus innings for the win. He was followed by Alton Davis II, who allowed one hit and struck out two across the final 2.0 frames to ensure the series-clinching victory for Alabama.
From Head Coach Rob Vaughn
"That was just a gutsy team effort today. Our at-bats for the first three or four innings weren't great, but the story of this whole game was Zane Adams. He did a great job of minimizing the damage in the second inning. His poise and ability to not make the situation bigger than it is was impressive, and that allowed our offense to get going. We were just relentless down the stretch and crushed any hope of a comeback by continuing to tack on runs. This was a full team effort, and I'm really proud of the boys today."
