Yeah I mean judging the absolute dumbass comments we saw for an article on just Jihaad Campbell going to mosque and practicing his freedom of religion then I imagine a Farrakhan on the team will cause a lot of embarrassment.

You have to give kids a chance, and not judge them by their parents actions/beliefs. But I do understand why there are those who would be uncomfortable with this.

I know nothing about this kid and he might be a candidate for saint hood. On the other hand, if he was some kind of lunatic with insane views, I'm always amazed at the insane mental/ethical/moral origami some of our fan base will take to justify signing a player that has serious issues, as long as he's a really good player.
Seriously, there could be a player who plays like Bobby Bouche from "The Water Boy" but was convicted of 1st degree murder if Bama signed him. You'd see these same "fans" try to justify it with insane excuses:
"He's found Jesus!"
"Everyone deserves a second chance. Haven't you killed someone before?"
"He didn't get an ice cream cone when he was 5 years old at the state fair and that caused him to murder that guy years later."
"He learned to be violent with playing too much "Grand Theft Auto".
Again, this kid might be some paragon of virtue for all I know but even if he was a horrible person, there is a segment of our fan base that would try to justify signing him.

Great pickup! One of the guys that I follow that does some officiating, helps with camps, and has a lot of HS and college coaching contacts raves about Smith. Says he reminds him of a "much more skilled Ardarius Stewart that will knock you in the dirt".

We weren’t getting Cam Coleman no matter what. Can’t even consider a highschool that’s on Eastern time zone a part of Alabama though
