You didn't say anything about the quarterback room being overrated, you said Nussmeier is overrated.
Well considering he’s your presumptive starter, I’m guessing he’d get at least a 9/10 rating himself unless Pate thinks your backups are better.

He's ranking the room as a whole, not just the starter. I don't necessarily agree with his rankings but you're comparing apples to oranges. And how many LSU fans do you see on here predicting that Nuss is going to win the Heisman and lead us to an undefeated season? We think he will have a good season, but he's not going to carry the whole team on his back like JD did last year. We're not a bunch of retarded Tennessee fans.

I think people think assume your conference schedule is going to make it hard to be successful in 24. Not your fault that ESPN/Sankey didn't hand OU a JV schedule like they gave to Utx.

I have ho problem with OU or its fans. I always liked Bob Stoops since his time at Florida. OU is going to have a harder time in SEC for sure. You won't be given any special treatment like Utx. Compare your to conference schedules as an example. I would have stated in Big 12 where you'd make the playoffs every year. After a couple of playoff visits and possible NC then come over to SEC. You guys have been down for awhile. Would have been better if you'd waited and cone over when you were up.

I don’t know which team you are a fan of, but as an LSU fan we are not concerned about our offense at all.

DeBoer -- he will be a solid HC down the road, but it's gonna take him a few seasons to get his feet under himself.
Coach DeBoer just took a downtrodden 4-win Washington program to 25-3 in his 2 years there. Including a Pac-12 title and an NC game. He beat Dan Lanning 3 times, Lincoln Riley twice, and Steve Sarkisian twice in those same 2 years.

Nuss is set for a statistically outstanding year. The LSU offense is loaded. Whether he has the skills to win the big games or make the big plays is TBD, but his passing stats should be top 5 in LSU history just based on the offense and personnel. His arm is sudden. So won’t be overrated. If anything, he’s being under valued. I expect him to throw for more yards per game then the guy who just won a Heisman because I’m not convinced the run game will be special and Nuss obviously isn’t a guy who is going to be ripping off runs.

BAMA saw him for a full quarter and he was frankly, very pedestrian. That's short for LSU getting shut out for the rest of the game. By the way, Nussmier was throwing to 2 first-round picks in Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas.
So when you say Nuss will be throwing to a loaded receiver group, do you really mean he will be throwing to 2-first round NFL picks?

quote:As much as I hate to say it, the above ^^ is correct. In the hypothetical situation my Longhorns needed a new coach after the '23 season I'm pretty sure DeBoer would have topped my shortlist. Expecting him to exceed or even match what Saban did during his time at Bama is unrealistic...but so is the wishcasting opposing fanbases do when they think Bama is going to suck now.
