What is the "Dreamland" of Lexington?

Posted by Bama Bird on 5/15/24 at 8:36 am
I'll be passing through Lexington soon and I'm curious what the most iconic restaurant is. Not looking for the best or a hidden gem... looking for what would be comparable to what Dreamland is to UA. At the same time, not looking for anything mediocre if that makes sense... ...
Oh wow- I never thought I'd envy Georgia State in anything, but here we are. I love what they've done to keep Turner Field alive as well. Tech let themselves get completely lapped in ...

re: RIP SEC on CBS
This is false. SEC wanted to re-sign with CBS. For $300m a year and CBS would get first pick of games week to week, as they had previously. CBS walked away. So the SEC signed another deal. Then CBS ended up signing with the Big10 for third choice of weekly games, and are paying $350m a year f...
Usually 4 is plenty
We haven't even needed 4 most of the time... BCS poll would've gotten it right nearly every year. ...
Trent Richardson
I'd ultimately go with Shawn Alexander but Richardson is criminally underrated because of what transpired in the NFL. I think he's an easy #2 of the Saban era [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWrFDHc-swU[/embed]...
#7 is a hard pick between Tennessee and Texas A&M but ultimately, this won't even be a question in two months: OU and TX are miles ahead in the basketball venue competition ...
In atmosphere, I agree. But I'd say UK, Ole Miss, Auburn, Mizzou, Arkansas and USC are nicer venues...
Vanderbilt has one of the best basketball venues and they upgraded baseball and are upgrading football.
I like Memorial because it's unique but I wouldn't say it's top 7 "nicest" in the SEC. It's basically like a high school gym mated with Carnegie Hall ...
At the moment, I'd say Tennessee isn't in top half of "nicest" in any sport. Possible Florida is in this list with OU/TX joining but idk about enough everyone else's baseball stadiums...
Memphis isn't a bad drive, only about an hour- I'd certainly fly in there over Jackson...
Maurice Jarre (Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, and many others) should be at least top 5 imo ETA: No one's even close to John Williams...
I don't know if that is Serraneaux and his 10 alters.
Probably... there used to be a few good UT posters here but they're MIA (Involnerable and Vols&Shaft are two I remember). It's still strange to me how little representation they have on here despite the size of their fanbase. ...
