The penalty is having either a ball or strike called. The ball never made it to the plate, so that couldn’t happen. The auto-strike “rule” LSUrulz (and many others) keeps quoting doesn’t exist in college baseball. ...

The funny part about that is the rule doesn’t say he has to be touching the plate at all. His foot was in front of the plate, and his body was so forward that he caught the ball in front of the plate all together.
But they’re still arguing about it. :lol: ...

The rule is pretty clearly written, and the catcher clearly had his foot on the plate without the ball.

I seem to recall them being one of the most expensive schools in the state to attend (maybe the most expensive at the time?) when I graduated high school.
Based on their most recent published numbers, it doesn’t look like they were able to keep up with the nationwide increases in cost of attend...
