re: Who is your favorite coach ever fired by LSU?

It’s amazing to see how time has changed the perception of Brady.
When he was the HC at LSU he was an acerbic a-hole who was just as apt to finish dead last as he was win the league. He bristled at any criticism. I’ll always remember his postgame press conference after a win over Ole Miss when h...

re: Ncaa discussing adding sponsor logos to football fields

Was this not already legal? And if not, I don’t see what the outrage is about. Several stadiums already corporate sponsors names. Bowl games and neutral site games have long had sponsor logos on the field. Hell, so do conference rivalry games: Allstate Red River Rivalry.
Many basketball courts al...

Or he is simply just leveraging all of the schools against one another.
It's the same approach as doing something like buying a car...but in reverse.

[quote]Tell that to a toddler or small child and see how that works out
Parents can't be there at daycare/school all day to make sure their kid is "accountable." My kids don't have allergies that I'm aware of, but some of y'all act as if a child's mind operates like an adult mind and they should...

re: Would you be in favor or doing away with star rating for recruits?
Posted by Alt26 on 5/28/24 at 1:12 pm
Whew! A lot to unpack here.
1. The ratings done by private businesses. So I'm not quite sure how you legally "do away" with them?
2. The staffs don't simply wait for the ratings to be released to learn about the best prospects. They already gather than information on their own. And a kid ...

Green and old gold is a good color combo. The Yellow looks bad.
This isn't that difficult. Take this uniform. Match the stripes on the pants with those on the helmet and call it a day.

I wouldn't say I'd be "happy". But they would have definitely exceeded all expectations from a little as two weeks ago for a team that was until late April on pace to be one of the worst LSU ...

re: Start Little vs Wofford

If Johnson started the best pitcher in a generation or more (Skenes) against one of the worst teams to ever make the NCAA Tournament (in terms of winning %) (Tulane), he's NOT going to start a #3 pitcher against a much better team on the road. So really, this discussion is more academic than anythi...

Exactly.
Tulane was 19-40 going into the NCAA. And 4 of those wins came in the AAC tournament. They finished the regular season 3-12 in their last 15 games. It truly was a minor miracle they made the NCAA Tournament. They had one of th...

Tulane was a 4 last year, but they're a true instate rival, and you can't frick around with that scenario in the postseason. We see that bite us in midweek games every year.

In the CWS LSU had “no chance” to win if they didn’t start 2-0. They lost game 2…and have a trophy to prove that wasn’t the death knell.
In 2022 LSU started 2-0…and ended the regional 2-2 with a bus ride back to BR
