Outside the friendly confines of this cesspool, SEC fans are watching MLB like the rest of the country.
I used to go to quite a few Braves games back in the Turner Field days. Now its a pain in the arse drive to the new stadium which pretty much amounts to a full day effort. ...
Forcing kids to play is just going to result in a bunch of phantom injuries right before the bowl.
Depends on what you are playing for. The Georgia senior class had the opportunity to win a record setting 50 games as a class and everyone who wasn't really injured played....
No doubt but it's also a big leap to go from a coach on the hot seat to perennial playoff contender in one season.
Drinkwitz is a better coach than people realize. It will be interesting to watch his career path....
Tennessee is now making threads about Mizzou? Damn, I knew it was bad, but not that bad.
I never really knew how much I didn't liked Tennessee until the moment when I found myself pulling for the Alabama softball team in their series against the VOLs. In contrast, ...
Uga hired a Vegas dude with barstool sports To run their NIL programs
As a contributing member of the Classic City Collective, I have met Matt Hibbs and really like his easy-going personality. Just a common sense guy who drives a pick-up truck. His interaction with the players i...
Someone objectively stating a coach who hasn’t coached well
My comment was about his outlook from the very start. My impression was that he was in for a rude awakening. The smile was all about how much hype Napier received by the media and how the Florida admin. fell for it a...
But he certainly isn’t a very good coach.
I recall when Napier was hired where he talked about how he would focus on analytics. That comment put a smile on my face. :loser: ...
If he doesn't make progress this year, dude is cooked.
Napier promised that he would beat both Georgia and Florida State this coming season. It begs this question: Does Napier really want to continue to absorb the brunt of a no win situation?...
Finally there's no glaring holes on the roster to blame it's all gonna come down to coaching.
Surely you jest. Florida has a projected ranking of #33. With the new additions to the conference, 9 SEC teams are ranked in the top 25. Your "come down to coaching" remark is a ...
The ball was past the 1st baseman and 2nd base didn’t have a chance at the play.
The split second that the ball changed its trajectory because of hitting the runner, it became impossible to tell if the 2nd baseman would have been able to field the ball had it not hit the runner. ...
I watched it 3 times at half speed and couldn't determine if it hit the runner from that angle.
There were other angles in the coverage that show that it did. The LSU players on the field pointed after they saw it hit her. Then the umpires refused to confer. How do four u...

LSU gets HOSED at Stanford

Posted by Chip82 on 5/27/24 at 10:40 am
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7Eci7VC24o At the 59 second mark a ball is hit and the Stanford base-runner is clearly hit by the ball. The ball then glances at an angle away from the 2nd baseman moving to play the ball. According to rule 12-1-4 the runner should be out as there was a fiel...
Do you mean Beth Torina?
I thought that her name was Pat Torino But yes, the LSU coach clearly knew that the umpires should have reviewed the play....
No They can review their own calls at any time. The discretion part of it lies in a request from one of the teams. Pat Torino clearly knew that they had the ability to review the play and chose not to. The umpires screwed LSU because it was obvious that the ball hit the runner....
they can’t until the 6th inning I believe
Nope I follow softball and they can review their own calls at any time. I've seen it done on several occasions. All they have to do is announce it as an umpire's review. Pat Torino knew perfectly well that it should have been look...
The hit runner was not challengable I believe.
The umpires can review anything they want to review in the field of play. LSU got HOSED. ...
Should be 1-0. LSU gets fuc**d. Of course the outside didn’t do her team any favors either driving to dive for that ball.
I don't have a horse in this race, but LSU got hosed by the umpires for not taking a look at that play where the LSU player clearly saw that it hit the runner ...
Get ready for OU and Texas to run the SEC. And the only ones that can beat them will be OSU.
Texas lost to aTm yesterday. Yet another sport where the competition will be consistently better than what OU and Texas are used to seeing in conference play....
