No I listed ‘85 Tennessee at the bottom due to their relative lack of quality wins. Only solid wins on the season were against Final AP #9 Miami and #13 Alabama.
Tennessee also had a relatively soft SEC schedule, playing 3 of ...
No offense to Florida fans but I would disagree with your statement. I don't care what the rules are now, they broke the rules as they were then and everybody else was (supposedly) playing under. Just because the things they did back then are now ok, doesn't mean we overlook them. They br...
Auburn won a national title in the late 50s when they were on probation.
The national title included an actual trophy, presented by the AP. Probation is completely irrelevant.

No. First off I had no clue what Freeze’s record was in his first season in Oxford. Second...

I’ll never forget Bama losing to La Monroe….
And Northern Illinois… and Hawaii… and a Favre-less Southern Miss… and a UCF team that was barely D1… and Louisiana Tech…. Twice!

Auburn should be a bit more competitive this year, and the schedule does get a bit easier. I think we’re still a year away from really being competitive with the top four or five teams in the league....

Auburn’s program started the same year.
Those West Coast teams were basically able to dominate the sport with very little competition from any other geographic region up through the 1990s
From 1982-1999, UCLA made the WCWS 15 out of 18 seasons… Arizona and Fresno State each 12 times out of 18....

25 points for a season ending with a National Title
12 points for a season ending with a National Runner-Up
8 points for a season ending with a WCWS appearance
3 points for a season ending in a Super Regional (2005-present only)...

Comparing all those lines, it appears Vegas ranks the SEC like this (*no lines listed for UK, MSU, SC, Vandy)
1. Georgia
2. Texas (about 4 points on average behind UGA)
3. Alabama (about 4 points on average behind Texas)
4-6. Ole Miss, LSU, Texas A&M (all within 0-1 points of each other,...
