I think you meant President Johnson. They had a service at Vicksburg National Cemetery which is the final resting place for both Union and Confederate soldiers. However, I believe Memorial Day was created first to just remember those Union troops who died in the war of northern aggression. ...

Going into Afghanistan was the right thing to do following 9/11. Should have been shock and awe like daddy Bush in Gulf War. In and out. Staying to force democracy on a heathen bunch of people is a stupid game plan.
