If your SEC school shutdown, what SEC team would you root for, if you had to choose one?

I would have to say Georgia, simply because I have a lot of relatives living there, so I hear a lot about them anytime we visit or talk on the phone. I also have a niece that just graduated from there and was a member of the Georgia dance team for four years. I also like Smart and feel like he's a good coach.

Auburn would be a close second.

This is a completely original thread idea and the first time it's ever been asked on tRant.

LSU. I could relate to the struggle of almost being on top but just never getting there.

Toss-up between Oklahoma and Arkansas. Lots of family ties to both schools. On the one hand, Fayetteville is way nicer than Norman. On the other hand, Oklahoma is probably going to win a lot more often.

That’s pretty easy, Georgia. Obviously with the Kirby connection but on a personal level, a bunch of my wife’s relatives are all Dawgs. Even though they seem extremely arrogant and walk around with their noses in the air because they went to meh Georgia, they are actually good people and pretty cool.

Then LSU. I actually like LSU and the traditions and since I am from the state of Louisiana I obviously have connections through friends and family but damn dealing with this manufactured rivalry and the hate between the 2 schools has gotten old. Hopefully with Saban gone, they can go back to hating Ole Piss or Aggie more.

Not sure about the SEC but I would root for the Taliban if they played Bama

Yep I would probably become a Lib, color my hair in a rainbow, wear a mask all the time, and vote for Biden before ever considering pulling for Auburn.

I hope that I’d cheer for the other team from the great state of Texas but I just couldn’t. None of the above is my answer.

You had me until your last sentence. Shame on you. Shame, shame, shame.

You are suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. It can be cured by dumping Allbarn from your likes!

P.S. -- If UGA were to shut down (something AU, Florida, UT pray for), I'd root for LSU within the confines of the SEC. USC Trojans (my other alma mater), would become #1 with LSU #2.

No fricking chance I’d pull for another SEC team. I’d probably go with Louisville since they made me some money on DK last year. Or Wake Forest since I lived in Winston for awhile.

UGA, which I’ve always liked as long as they’re not playing Arkansas. My dad earned his PhD from UGA.

LSU—from LA and my parents are alums.
