It’s no secret cal was shopping around for another landing place because he knew the fans had grown weary of him due to the fire cal signs in his yard, among other things. It happens.
He was going to return until Tyson set up a meeting with our AD to pick his brain about our possible replacement for muss. When the AD was fixin to leave he said “ what about you?”
Apparently Arkansas was an attractive enough place to come to historically and a great place to live. It was enough to lure him away from the other place.
Both sides are satisfied, I don’t see a problem here.

It may be true. Currently Arkansas is ranked 3rd nationally in recruiting. By comparison, Kentucky is ranked 24th. So far, Calipari University is recruiting better than Kentucky.

Yeah, he hasn’t done shite but put kids in the nba. That’s their goal. They don’t care about you or your record, those days are fixin to be gone if not already.

I told you so about what? Having a team go to the dance every year? You’re breaking my heart.
We should have gotten pelphrey or anderson or heath back I guess. The publicity from this alone is worth its weight in gold to our little school.

Belle, I have been mostly in agreement with you on here against many Hog fans, but this is a bit disingenuous really. C'mon now.
Yes, he was feeling the heat... But let's be real. I would have stuck around and drained your bank accounts and retired to an incredible beach someplace. He took the opportunity at a slightly lower rate of pay, with a much higher NIL budget to make a last ditch effort to Kick Arse and Take Names. I am now a betting man, that he will accomplish more than you KY folks believe.
He is signing Portal Players ... In a way, most of you said he wouldn't. Again, are you reaching just a bit because of some of our flaming fans here?
