They seriously underestimated how quickly the novelty of USC/UCLA/UW/UO will wear off. Those teams simply don't pull the viewers everyone seems to think they do.
Conferences live and die with their bottom 10-30%: South Carolina pulls 80k a game. What does Rutgers pull?

One platform controlling the entire schedule is going to make for a better fan experience. I expect to see a lot of time slots announced at SEC media days.
I have faith that ABC will up the production level. They knock it out of the park when it comes to the playoff games.
