Terrible. Just a kid.
Not excusing his crimes, but ask yourself is there a better way to address this? A shame for anyone to lose their life in a non-violent crime, especially a kid.
How much cash do you currently have in your wallet? Because that's exactly what YOUR life is worth to someone like this.
It doesn't matter if someone disagrees with that or not; it is the truth.
There is nothing "non-violent" about this type of crime. They are looking for cash, drugs, and the grand prize- guns. And you can bet your life they don't value your life enough to avoid taking it, if they can.

It's such a shame too. I spent a lot of time coaching kids from the rough part of town. Underneath the outward appearance, they really were just kids and often times very sweet. It used to burn me up every time we would get a kid on the right path, coming to practice everyday, showing up for school, getting good grades, cutting out the discipline problems, etc. only for "their people" to convince them that they were "acting white" and "forgetting where they came from."
Their own families were the ones that oftentimes dragged them away from potential success. Of course, they'd then come back and blame us for our "white privilege." The amount of absolutely loveable and sweet kids that we ended up losing to the streets because their POS sperm donors (I won't insult father by calling them fathers) convinced them to embrace that thug culture breaks my heart.

You’d have to be pretty stupid to confront a thief without a pistol these days. Before they would just run off, now they’ll shoot you in the face
