Don't know that it cost them a "national title" but the '75 Aggie team ranked #2 lost to Arkansas 31-6 and most likely cost the Ags the opportunity to play for a national title.

Hogs weren't bad, ranked 18 at the time, went on to win the SWC title and smoked UGA 31-10 in the '76 Cotton Bowl.
