Semantic Tiger 2.0 which of these do you believe I am wrong about? Apparently several if not all based on your previous reply. But specifically, what below is generally regarded as false?

Socrates, who was one of Aristotles main influencers, was put on trial and put to death by the Greek government for his philosophical and scientific beliefs.

Being put on trial and put to death for your philosophical and scientific beliefs by your government qualifies as persecution.

Pythagoras is credited with determining the Earth is not flat.

Aristotle is credited with determining the Earth is a sphere.

Copernicus is credited with determining the Earth is not the center of the universe.

Some people did in fact believe Columbus would sail off the edge of the Earth (hint, this whole thread is about who still today believe this).

Thank you for pointing out that you should be ignored in the future.

Flat Earthers don't think that these days.

They think the world is like a cylinder, flat and round on top like a disk. They believe Antarctica wraps around the entire world.

That Antarctica is off limits because people would travel there and see the wall. It's that wall that keeps all the water and such inside the earth, so you would never sail off the edge.

It's all kinds of weird crap.
