My MIL now lives with us. Big mistake. I now have an old woman stuck in her ways, a headstrong wife, and a 16 yr old daughter that constantly clash about EVERYTHING. Stress levels are maxed out, everyday. It may seem like a good idea, but it really isn't.

This is why my parents nor my in-laws will ever live with us. I have no desire to have anyone else’s opinion influencing my house. My wife is enough to deal with.

This is why a MIL suite exists. They live with you but not WITH you
