The same could be said about UF that as dropped several bad games. Feels to me like both UF and UGA should be around that 15 range with UF being a tad higher

UF has not lost a series yet (unless you count the 0-1 vs St John where 2 games were canceled) and has ranked wins over A&M, @Lsu, & MSU plus a nice OOC series win over @Miami.

They have other issues, though. Like 11 losses!

Seems to be unanimous that A&M is better than Florida.

Still clinging to anything more successful around town than the Aggies. Good for you.

It pains me to say this, but sweeping LSU in baseball is kind of like getting to the elite eight in basketball ...... for me anyway.

If clinging is being a fan since the Killer B's, then I'll take it.

Given the success of College Station sports, that's my point.

I agree, they do have a good team, but the schedule is brutal.

That is a rough schedule. They couldn't' afford to stumble out of the gate and they did stumble, and rather badly. The players and the coaches just don't seem to be on the same page at the moment and in SEC baseball that is a recipe for disaster.

Big 12 teams that are ranked

Baseball America
none

Perfect Game
20. UCF

D1 Baseball
25. UCF

The Big 12 is so bad this year.. None of these teams should be ranked right now.. literally none of them.

We're replacing 7 position players and 2 weekend starters from last years team. That's just the reality. Some will say this is an excuse but the margin for error in SEC baseball is razor thin. I hope they will show improvement as the season progresses.

Who does Kentucky have to frick to get some respect in these rankings?

I’m also resigned to Georgia just being unranked all year despite having a really solid record. We are good enough to make the postseason but have enough flaws in our pitching staff to let D1 and BA off the hook in not recognizing us.
Georgia will probably be a two seed come NCAA tournament time and ruin someone's season by slugging their way to a regional win.

Hats off to Kentucky for taking care of business in SEC play, but they haven't exactly faced the same level of competition as, say, Florida. They will have an opportunity to show the doubters.

You have been banging this drum for a month now.

how does UF stay anywhere near the top 10...I just don't get it

I don't mind us dropping out...but how is UF still ranked so high. They have been awful this year.

3-25-24

Good for Florida for finally doing something this season, but they also didnt get penalized for a pretty rough start to the season.

SC loses a series to Clemson, and then Ole miss and drops completely out. UF has several bad losses to start the season and sticks inside the top 10. If any team isnt getting slighted after a big series win, its UF.

See you next week to let you know that UF won't move down until we lose a series. We have Missouri this weekend, so you can probably count on it. I am sure that will be a happy day for you when it happens.

UCF has a really high RPI thanks to mid-week road wins at Miami and Florida

Otherwise, no they shouldn’t be ranked nor should any team in that league. Big 12 normally gets a worse reputation in baseball than it deserves, but this year the conference is especially bad.

Some team will have to go on an insane run and win 20 conference games to have a shot at hosting a regional. So far it’s just been mid feasting upon other mid (or worse)

Maybe the fans of Big 12 teams discussing the Big 12 should move to another board.

Florida has the #1 SOS in the country, and has thrown the most freshman pitchers in the SEC (10).

They're getting bruised early, but they're gonna be really good by the end of the year.

Agree.
I posted this a few weeks ago before our series:
I’ll say this. I’m glad we get yall early. I like the young arm talent on your squad. I think you’ll have a different opinion on them in May vs March. ...

Just like LSU shouldn’t even be ranked when they are 2-7 in conference play.
