I actually agree with this. It creates a culture of self moderation. If someone says something retarded, the proper response - which is merciless ridicule - is allowed. When people know they’ll be mercilessly ridiculed for posting stupid shite, it changes the way they post.
Of course, there are some outliers like NFLSU and TutHillTiger.

I use to post on TF a lot but that was years and years ago. I remember a moderator named Valujet was a cool dude, but there was another one named It’s On a Slab, and he was a total, liberal prick.
Over the years, the site got worse and worse, and I only log on now to read JessN’s analyses.

My badge of honor is I managed to get banned for saying Kamala Harris was a bad VP selection. Spent a lot of time there but they did not care for criticizing the Biden campaign from the left. Politics board here is a superfund site but I could repost the communist manifesto on it and just get downvoted into oblivion not banned.

Went back months later and saw they had sent me a message saying that they had warned me and were suspending me. By the time I had came back I was no longer suspended. I had no idea what they were talking about so I messaged HSV. He was ugly in his reply but had no idea why I was banned either. Pretty much was well you were banned so I know you did something wrong.
Meh who cares what they do or think.
