I understand Tennessee has a horrendous defense that hands out career days for QBs like candy, but even considering that Rattler played phenomenal. I had never seen him play before last night. I was lead to believe he was horrible. He made some NFL throws last night, had a quick release, and went through his progressions quickly. Has he shown flashes before? Did he finally put it all together or was that just an out of body experience? I still dumbfounded by what I witnessed last night.

His total revulsion for UT lifted his play to new levels.

At one time when at Oklahoma he was considered a Heisman candidate, so the potential has always been there.

The knock on him has been his consistency and was also the case when he was at OU. Tremendous skill but errant as well.

It was the orange lids. Someone fricked up on that call.

I think you have to pressure him and make him uncomfortable, he had all day for the most part.

This is the first time an otherwise mediocre QB has had an anomalous, monster game, EVER.

See Garcia’s game against #1 Bama in 2010……out of body experience. A singular qb performance that was legendary and still talked about. I think Garcia went 17/20 with 3 TD’s and one INT. The interception was a perfect pass to Alshon Jeffrey that bounced off his hands. Garcia’s stats weren’t mind blowing but almost every pass Garcia threw was perfect and he did it against the #1 team and reigning national champs.
I think Rattler had a similar out of body experience last night with even better stats

Go back and read about 2010 USC east beating number one, undefeated, and defending National Champion Alabama because Stephen Garcia comes out and plays the one great game of his career. He looked like Bret Favre that day and never had, before or after.

He hit on some good plays early and it snowballed. I mean, I was shocked and waiting for him to fold up, too. But he held steady and the rest of the team rallied around him and put an entire game together at just the right time.

Kudos to SC and Rattler.
