I’m going to go pessimistic here until I see a shift to a winning mindset. Flame away. I’ll get more optimistic maybe once we see what shakes out in fall camp.

Right now I say 3-2.

Why?! Heck- we’ve barely won 5 games a damn season since 2020. We haven’t won 5 in a row since 2019. Before that it was 2017.

Until AU proves otherwise- and I do believe we are building some momentum- but I’m not convinced it’s 5-0 momentum.

Didn't even realize the first 5 were at home. I'm going 4-1.

So a loss to Cal @ home or Arky @ home?

Hogs went 1-7 in the SEC last year- but have Petrino as OC and some portal pick ups. They could put a good game plan together.

California went 6-7 and it took all we had to beat them. I don’t know about their offseason- but assuming it wasn’t a total roster turnover- they’re probably about the same.

It’s reasonable, until we see a revamped AU version 2024 play, to think we could drop to either team based solely on the culture that has permeated the last 4 years. Can we dig deep anymore? Is CHF in year 2 going to show improvement ? Based only on last year and spring it’s hard to tell. So, if pressed I’d say a revamped Arkansas with Pitman fighting for his job is more likely than Cal to surprise us at home.

The other I’d say would be Oklahoma. I agree with the poster a few lines up- has Penn St written all over it.

We're the 12th hardest schedule in the SEC, they want us to have Ws in the column again, is that the AD's doing?

Let the record show, that I’m the first poster this calendar year to make the statement that goes roughly along the lines of:

“They Won’t Be Able To Handle Our Humidity”

you seriously cant stay on topic can you. The topic is the first 5 games. Not the rest of the season

Well, I remember a Nichol's Alley wet t-shirt contest... Oh, wait...

4-1 or 5-0.

Oklahoma being the potential loss. Seem to recall they have decent defensive players returning and their problem will be offense.

Venables might be looking at us for an SEC signature win so I home we beat 'em at home.

I think 5-0. I think we go 8-4, but I think OU is Hugh's coming out party and the return of the "big JHS win."

Perry Thompson gets his first start, they have been scheming for Coleman all week and the first four passes are to Perry. They finally use a safety over the top to help out and Coleman is one on one, takes it to the house.

Next series they go in a dime package and our running game takes their lunch money.

By the second half they are petitioning the NCAA to leave the SEC

I don’t share your enthusiasm for a win over OU. I think it is going to be a very close game with 2 evenly matched teams with both rebuilding

I'm going for the 3 time zone changes.

Regardless, they can't handle either one of 'em.

IM going with we just signed their best player from last year as a back up WR. Cal should be an easy win

Going with 4-1....after the last few years it's hard to accept we can win 5 straight even at home
