WR Nick Mardner just got drafted to the CFL from Auburn.
Never heard his name before. Should I have? I feel like if you’re good enough to make the CFL I should’ve at least heard of you at the college level if you played for my team.
Just a blind spot for me or what?

Solid career at Hawaii. Transferred to Cincinnati. Didn’t do much there. Transferred to Auburn never saw the field.

Yeah. At 6’6 and 200 he might be worth the risk for a CFL side, raw as he might be.
The interesting thing is looking at the mock drafts (yes those exist) he pops up on several as a first rounder.

No- I think he has a bobble head statue by the Eagles Cage. It’s where we memorialize transfer heroes and star rating champs.

He is from Canada. The CFL teams have to maintain something like 21 Canadian players on the roster and at least 7 starters at all times, so this impacts their draft because it elevates guys like Mardner.

Yep. He's a huge WR. I remember being pretty excited about the team moving away from the 5'10"/165lb WR when he and Hooks transferred in.

Came in the portal window after being coached by Marcus Davis in the first Freeze portal I believe. Dude did absolutely nothing, and is one of the reasons I don't blame Peyton for EVERYTHING. Hope he makes money for himself and his family

Some WR named Shorter transferred in after putting up big numbers in smaller A ball and did even less. We were basically housing bum WRs for no rent.
