Last week, while at the NFL Scouting Combine, Texas tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders was asked about the Longhorns and joining the SEC next season.

In his response, Sanders said that former Big 12 teams Texas and Oklahoma "can assert true dominance" in their move to the SEC. Per On3:

“It was fun playing in the Big 12,” Sanders said at the NFL Combine. “The Big 12 is one of those conferences where anybody can beat anybody. I’m glad Texas and OU is going to the SEC. Now, we can assert true dominance.”
While the Longhorns are expected to be one of the top teams in college football next, they will now need to navigate an SEC schedule in 2024. Here's what the Longhorns slate looks like next year.

vs. Colorado St - 8/31
at Michigan - 9/7
vs. UTSA - 9/14
vs. UL Monroe
vs. Mississippi St
vs. Oklahoma in Dallas - 10/12
vs. Georgia - 10/19
at Vanderbilt - 10/26
vs. Florida - 11/9
at Arkansas - 11/16
vs. Kentucky - 11/23
at Texas A&M - 11/30
