FB post saying Kirby will listen to Blank's offer? I don't believe it for a minute but wanted your thoughts.

Possible his agent using leverage to lock in a longer deal. Not sure Smart wants a pro job, but you never know.

I wouldn't listen to a single word on the internet/radio/TV about the subject. Kirby isn't going to coach the Falcons.

Yeah whoever told you this is just click baiting for money.

Guys who know their shite about the falcons like actual insider media have pretty clearly laid out the candidates in tiers being pie in sky dream guys, realistic very good gets, and terrible hires. Not a single college coach is on any of these list. You know why? No matter how amazing Kirby is it would beyond retarded for the falcons org whose literally a competent head coach and QB away from 12-13 win seasons and handing that to a guy whose proven nothing in the nfl

He should listen. Then tell UGA to give his assistants a raise. And rinse and repeat every couple years.

I don’t know Kirby. So I have no idea what he’s thinking. But I think it would be a bad idea for the Falcons to pursue him from the state’s premier program, like someone else said earlier. It would piss a lot of people off. Probably a bad business decision by the Falcons unless we get Lanning back

It has little to do with that. The falcons aren’t the type of team and roster and you bring in a college coach with no nfl experience for. They’re the roster you swing as big as you can with proven nfl people. A name I like being brown around there below the pie in the sky dream candidates is Monken

lol the falcons don't give the slightest shite if CFB fans in the state are upset. If they cared about that in any way whatsoever they'd have drafted more UGA players over the years.

I think Kirby is obviously very similar to Saban, so I think he’s smart enough to see his mentor’s mistake wasn’t any one thing as an NFL coach. It was going to the NFL in the first place. The way he runs our program isn’t what he’d be allowed to do in the NFL. He’s intelligent so he could adapt, but he essentially has the collegiate game as figured out as you can. He fits in college naturally. Aside from dodging the 24/7 365 recruiting transfer etc, idk what would entice him about the NFL

Barring an absolute disaster next year Kirby is nearly guaranteed a spot in the postseason. And it looks that way for the next couple years. He's got it set on cruise control outside of recruiting/portal.

I'd be more worried about Schumann looking hard at the Bama DC spot with the idea Saban retires after next season and he becomes HC.

This scenario is twice as likely as Kirby going to the Falcons.

I think this would be a huge mistake. Brady clearly made him. Losing record without him.

Either way, they have GOT to get QB figured out. Arthur Smith was a clown for sure, but my gut feeling is that nothing will change without a long-term answer at QB.

Is it really that worrisome? Do we run Schumann’s defensive scheme or does Schumann run Kirby’s defensive scheme?
