Does that mean Bmac is staying??????
Was told that it is much more likely that BMac stays at this point than leaves. Rocker is the big question mark right now

BMac said in his press conf that he is focused on the players and the bowl game right now and will let that work itself out later. My guess is Kirby will check around, do his due diligence, and decide if he wants to keep these guys or not after all the bowl games and playoffs. Just my thoughts on how it will go down

What about all the undercurrent folks talk about with BMac and Kirby not getting along?
In the presser today, BMac said Kirby has had zero input about the team heading into the bowl game.

Well, BMac likely isn't going to Miami unless they can pony up some serious money to cover the cost of living in Miami relative to Athens and make it worth his while to leave his alma mater. My guess is South Carolina is the only other nearby option in need of a WR coach and while I'm sure they could spend the money to get him, I think Kirby is smart enough to realize that it's better to keep the pain in the arse on the recruiting trail in your own team colors rather than willingly let him go to a division rival.

Agreed, and yet Pruitt wears the script A again.

Pruitt was a whole other type of pain in the arse. Plus, BMac isn't going to be taking off for a HC position anytime soon. Keeping Pruitt may have been nice for maybe a year but it would have been an exercise in futility. I have a feeling that Kirby isn't nearly as passive-aggressive of forgiving as Richt was when shite got weird around the office

I agree with the thoughts you and Durden have. Maybe Chaney and Pittman are watching aren't just watching the players at practice

All things considered, it really is a great working interview for the guys currently on staff to show what they've got, rather than just necessarily tossed out with the old regime.

Lot of analysts and GAs get to audition. AJC just released the list of guys that will be filling the vacated coaching roles for the bowl.

BMac is an A+ recruiter and an invaluable asset. Fingers crossed.

I've read the opposite. I know Smart and BMac don't like each other

I was informed that most of the players are operating under the impression that he's staying. Granted, players are usually the last to get told anything so it could just be ignorance on their part.

What's the story behind that crow? Recruiting trail run-ins?

That's what people say. I don't know any details.
They've probably gone head to head for more recruits than any two assistant coaches in the country, so I could see where eventually they wouldn't like each other that much.

I get that, but on the flip side wouldn't it seem like if you've got a nemesis on the recruiting trail that has been a thorn in your side for a while, that KS could see how valuable BM is and want to retain him?

Sure, unless it's gotten to the point that you wouldn't work well together. The staff's got to be on the same page.
ETA: I hope it's bullshite, they get along fine, and BMac can continue recruiting Atlanta.

Or CKS just thinks someone else can do the job better.

Like I've said before...haven't heard of anyone beating down B.Macs door trying to get him so why would he not walk the narrow path and do what CKS asks of him
