Worst Game of 2015 Season

Without a doubt the Florida game. We should have won that game easily. McGarity was flooded with phone calls from long time donors after that disaster. That is the reason for the Richt firing.

BAMA....
Glad I sold my tickets for such a high price.... I just knew it was going to be bad... and it showed how bad our QB play really was....
I was at the Florida game as well.... I had to leave in the 3rd quarter.... just could not take it anymore....
Our Defense was not bad in the Florida game.... with NO offense at all.... it was horrible..

Going to have to disagree with you. It's Tennessee and it's not close.
Alabama - Can blame the weather, but I think we all know that game wasn't going to go our way, particularly once Bama had lost to Ole Miss.
Florida - As much as the game stung (and trust me I fricking *hate* losing to Florida... I know way too many smug fans that I'd like to introduce a baseball bat to sometimes), it was quite literally a repeat of what we watched a year prior. A team that was totally underprepared for what they were going to see. For all the Pruitt fans out there, mobile QBs with legit run games behind them give him fits. I'd like to say it was surprising, but if you really think back, it wasn't. As bad as it ended up with starting Bauta but playing like it was still Lambert, it ultimately is what drove the change that was needed. Only time tells whether Kirby is the right hire, but after 15 years and 10 years without an SEC championship, I think it's quite clear that Richt wasn't going to be the guy to get us over the hump, not consistently at least. If it means I had to endure one more UF loss to get there, then so be it.
That leaves Tennessee. Lose best player on opening offensive play - check. Get a sizeable lead anyways - check. Proceed to blow that lead with less than 2 minutes to go in the first half with inability to get defensive stops and a subsequent kickoff fumble - check. Struggle throughout the second half but get bailed out by special teams to stay close. Have a chance to catch a long TD to tie it and instead shite the bed, grow fricking brick walls for hands and coat them with butter while we're at it - check...
That UT game was an abomination, and set the tone for the rest of the season... by the time UF rolled around a significant portion of the team had all but quit anyways.

Florida, no question

Florida, UT and Bama all were complete shite. I can not differentiate nor do I care to.

how has nobody said southern? Because that's the answer.
Florida? They won the east, we may not want to admit it but they were a pretty formidable team last year, and we simply lost to a better team.
UT? They were a frogs hair away from winning about 3 more games, plus we were playign in a jacked up environment on teh road. 2 evenly matched teams and we unfortunatley let it get away.
Bama? Loss was in embarrassing fashion unfortuantely but c'mon, we knew what was coming and that team won the national title. We can at least take solace in the fact that pretty much everyone else has lost to bama the last 8 years too.
Those games may have been to rival programs, which hurt more personally, and they were actual losses which obviously hurt more than wins, but talking about "worst game"?
That brings us to southern. A 7:15 kickoff at home against our even littlest of little bros, a team which was in it's SECOND YEAR of big boy football, from a town that many wouldn't stop to piss in, and we had to have overtime just to escape.
IDGAF what kind of excuses or rationalizations you can come up with...that should NEVER happen, EVER, under ANY circumstances. It was the most embarrassed I've been by our football team in a long time.
Let's even gloss over the whole "it's UGA vs georgia southern" aspect. Maybe if this was week 2 of 2007 when they got the nation's attention in a hurry things would be different. But no, this southern team lost 4 games. They lost to WVU (was WVU really much better than us last year, if at all?) by 6 touchdowns to the tune of 0-44. They lost to app state by 3 touchdowns. They lost to motherfricking georgia STATE, at home, by 27!!!!! And this is the team that took us to fricking overtime.
What would the fanbase consensus be if this was Arkansas state instead of georgia southern? People hear "georgia southern" and think "won a bunch of titles a long time ago and have a good program". So what? It's a lesser program by about 10 levels that plays in the sunbelt. Arkansas state won the sunbelt last year including a perfect 8-0 in conference, so by all accounts was a better team than GSU. Yet, somehow I doubt people would gloss over this game as much if Arkansas state took us to overtime.
This truly was one of those wins that feels like a loss. It always will. It was a sickening display and it's irritating even thinking back on it now and remembering it happened.

Alabama was the worst for me I think just because of the sheer disappointment.
Tennessee is close because we had to sit there and watch Chubb end his season on that stupid arse field and then we choke the game away. Then, when we have a chance to maybe get out of there alive, Reggie Davis drops easily the best ball Greyson Lambert threw all year. BRUTAL.
I also agree with WG on the Ga Southern point. That was probably the angriest I've ever been watching a UGA football game.
I'll also throw an honorable mention for the Mizzou game. That game was fricking terrible.
I still can't believe we won 10 games last year

Me either, it feels like we went 6-6.
Thank the good Lord above that schott is gone and we have a fresh staff. Now if only we can move on from the lambert experiment sooner rather than later, 2015 will be but a distant memory.

Id have to agree with the Ga Southern game there was absolutely no reason that game should have been a dog fight like it was.. and to go into overtime? Come on man... just talking about that game irks me. Michels GW TD run was sweet though, the mizzou was game was attrocious to not even score a touchdown and win by 3 points?.

The Missouri game was one of the worst football games I have ever watched. It was the football equivalent of two crippled kids racing. Special shoutout to whoever it was on here who tried to compare that to 2011 LSU/Bama because you are a retard.
The Ga Southern game was humiliating for sure.
The answer is Alabama though. So much hype, and regardless of what people here say in hindsight, a lot of us legitimately thought we would finally make the leap that day. Instead, it was same old Georgia and same old Richt.

I don't believe someone smart enough to work a computer could actually think that.

I don't agree with this.
Georgia Southern was a good team that could beat at least half of the teams in the SEC last year.
They would have done much better against W. Virginia in a rematch later in the season.
You forget, several flukey plays went against Georgia when they played Georgia Southern.
I rank that game as Georgia's 4th best win of the season.
Florida game was the worst followed closely by Alabama. I really thought Georgia was going to beat Alabama then. I was deceived by Georgia's rout of South Carolina. I thought they had a great offense when actually they did not.

Georgia....SOUTHERN.
There is never any excuse whatsoever to go to OT with them. Ever, period. Even in a dreadful year for us and a stellar year for them, there should be zero comparisons in talent and coaching between the 2 teams ever. At any time in history.

So many bad games when an overtime squeaker against G Southern isn't the overwhelming consensus for worst game of the year. The Florida debacle cost CMR his job. And it should have. Inexcusable game plan and even worse execution. Clearly showed CMR had already quit.

The 2014 Florida debacle should have been the one that cost him. One of the most inexcusable losses of his entire career.

Generally speaking - the way we totally squandered the golden opportunity of dominating a down SECE the last three years is really hard to figure.
Instead, we let Missouri (egad) win it twice and a first year coach of a Florida team in disarray with no offense win it last year.
No excuses are going to explain that, just hubris and incompetence.

Shite, I actually got pumped over that and the 4th down stop in OT. I felt so embarrassed.
On both plays I literally jumped out of my chair and yelled, then sat back down thinking 'what the frick I'm getting jacked over a game with Georgia southern...'
