If Bauta had started against Mizzou, we would have lost that game.

Bauta is not a good QB. Neither is Lambert, but I think he's at least average. Bauta is, and will be, a turnover machine.

You know how CMR saves his job....cause it's gonna get ugly...at what point will we be searching for a new"er" OC? Schotty gone at the end of this year..

I totally disagree. Do you really blame Bauta for those tipped interceptions? Do you remember the multitude of dropped interceptions Lambert had? Did you not notice the difference in pocket awareness and maintaining mechanics between Faton and Lambert?

I know that Bauta should not be in a position to start at QB for UGA,,,,

Based on what? YEah he's not as talented as Murray and Stafford, but I hate to break it to you, sometimes our QBs arent going to be super elite. Bauta played fine today. It wasn't his fault we lost, and I think Richt made the right call to start him. He gave us the best chance to win today. Unfortunately, his recievers and o-line let him down.

No one on the roster is fit for it.

Bauta, in my opinion, is the best we've got.

That may be true, but it seems like an unfair way to evaluate him by not letting him practice with the first team or play for the entire season...and then install him as the starter during the bye week before the Florida game!

Clearly the staff had concluded that Lambert was simply not going to get any better than he was...which was very mediocre and unable to step up in big games. But throwing Bauta in now seemed desperate...

I really don't know who the quarterback should be at this point, though. I would say Bauta IF they planned to actually run a read option or use his legs more. But they seem to want to more or less run the same offense. And Bauta is no Dobbs anyway.

Bauta played his best...

Agreed...

Lambert was supposed to be the more senior passer that would make our pro-style offense work...yeah not so much....changing Bauta's style of play did not help him out at all

This is the first time in 15 years you can say that the QB position has held us back from being competitive. Most programs would accept that. Joe Cox wasnt great, so if you want to say second time, thats fine. Not having a QB happens sometimes man. I will say, I dont think it is a coincidence that this is happening in Schotty's first year, I am completely on the bandwagon to fire his arse. Bobo would at leats adapt to the talent at hand. Schotty is terrible.

I think we could have done better at the QB more than twice...but...that's my opinion...this year is horrible...4 QB's...1 that left,,,none of which can hold a starting job..

I believe we have recruited the wrong components to make a pro-style offense work...other than excellent recruiting at RB...which we are obviously cursed at..

Schotty sucks...

Today reaked of desperation...just MHO

I understood your intent the first two times around R&B...I was agreeing that he SHOULDNT be in position, but the first time I asked you whos fault it was that he was in position. The second time I agreed he wasn't fit and added that no one on the roster was fit for it.

My only assertion was that hes probably the best of a bad lot.
