Ray was a good man who got thrust into a job that he wasn't yet qualified for. He gave everything he had to UGA and it's a shame the way he's treated by some fans. I didn't like his record, but he was a DGD.

The first game I ever attended was '76 at Auburn when we beat them to win the SEC. Goff was our qb. The players came out of the locker room with shaved heads and some were smoking cigars. He was obviously a better player than coach.

The Goff/Robinson dual QB years are my first recollection of UGA football as a kid.
