I'm assuming he's opening back up his recruitment even though he only has a few weeks before he enrolls?

Yeah he'll wait and see who we hire. Does anyone actually think Richt may have hinted to him on that visit that this was his last rodeo but encouraged Eason to stick with UGA?

Depends on the coach.

He and his dad have said that he commited to play for UGA, not a certain coach and that it would take UGA running the triple option for him to decommit. But with that said I'm sure he's going to take a step back and wait and see who we hire as the offensive coordinator/qb coach. If he dosent like it he will go to Michigan imo.

Maybe he encouraged him to come to Miami with him and be the next great Miami QB.

If Richt really did this, that is about as classy of a move as it gets.

I think Eason is fully committed to UGA at this point unless we completely change our offensive style. If Kirby or Fisher really is our next HC, I expect Eason to stay on because I don't think the offense would change much. If it's someone like Tom Herman, I think Eason would end up at Michigan.

For all we know Richt may stay on as QB coach or have some other role with the team. It's doubtful but not totally off the reservation...

Richt or no Richt - we have no QB for next year on the roster. If you're supposedly as good as Eason is, UGA should be a top choice. Guaranteed starting position (essentially) and a great running gave (especially if Chubb is healthy).

You would rather have a unproven HC over a proven winner?

I really think this is a strong possibility. It seemed a little weird at the time for a coach to fly all the way across the country right after a game to a QB who had been one of our strongest commits. He's been making the rounds to other top commits and guys who seem extremely solid to UGA since he flew out to Washington.

Fisher qualifies as a proven winner, but my gut feeling tells me Kirby is the next HC.

We need fixin' more than we need any one recruit. Make the right hire and he'll probably come anyway.

I understand why the move was made, but how the frick can you say "we need fixin"? We are incredibly talented on both sides of the ball. Whoever comes in will be in a great position from day one. The only question will be how many blue chip recruits he will have to play with.

Why else would he have gone to see Eason in the middle of a season?

Actually it is. I've never heard of a HC getting fired and moving down to a position lower than a coordinator....for that matter staying with the team at all.

That is bad in many many ways and I can't see any incoming HC accepting that. Aint gonna happen.
