LINK

I talked him down to $7000 in an email.

Negatives:

Holes in back of car and on top from police lights

No console between seats

Was a cop car

$7000 is it worth it?

I know GSP takes good care of their fleet vehicles (oil changes etc) just a little rich on the miles. You're prolly in good shape if it wasn't used in ATL very much.

How much is it going to cost to fix the holes and replace the console?

He should be OK with the consoles...tons of spare/used parts out there for Chargers (hopefully knows a good interior guy that'll give em a good deal on labor)

I would choose that Nissan Altima and offer $6500 cash. Better mileage and more reliable.

I'd pay 7k for it. Because cop cars may have been beat to shite, but they are also meticulously maintained.

I'd buy it...its true about them givenem hell but even if there's a nail in just one tire they change all four and that's anal retentive maintenance (and poor money management) at its best.

Completely agree. However, this car can be found for less than 10 with TRUE R/T trim and in much better shape. That car is completely beat up and the console, back door panels need to be addressed. Also, the car is BASE as can be and in pretty rough shape. Much better choices out there. Good price? Sure. However, it needs about 1,500 worth of work to make it right. It's laughable to see the vinyl back seat with the cloth back. The car is rough. Look at the pictures... That's a 5500 car @ Manheim auto auctions. Rough.

He would be better off finding a true R/T car with digital AC, 6 disc, leather, roof and matching paint. 120k is about when a tranny will go bad if the car was hammered and driven hard. It's priced cheap for a reason. I would stay away, but that's just me.

matching paint.

This is the one thing that gets me given the technology we have. Why in the world do the police paint cars(or have them painted two tone from the factory at a surcharge) when you can use vinyl for the roofs and sell them for a much greater profit at the end of it's service life? Vinyl is cheap and peels right off. It's just a stupid waste of money that I can't understand why muni's and the state patrols are allowed to waste.

Thanks.........no I didn't go and buy it. I just sleep late cause I work 12 hour nights.

I suppose ill just wait and get my tax returns and then buy a car. I'm looking to pay cash. Don't want to spend over 12k. Most chargers that price are around 100k miles, which is fine with me.

In my opinion you don't even need the first 100k on cars. Let someone else pay for that shite and you pay for the next 100k at a good price. I drive about 20k a year so it would take 5 years to get to 200k and most people don't keep cars for more than 5 years anyways. I just don't understand why people buy brand new cars pay it off in five years and sell it......what a waste of money.

By the way I did post this on ot and they are assholes. They never answer questions straight up, they just give smart arse remarks.

That's Mitch and his ilk. I wouldn't trust anything to do with that guy, but I still would have bought the car because of the price and the fact that it is kept up. That being said, I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. They were running a scheme when it was a chevy dealer where they were buying craploads of malibus from GM just to trade out for the hold back money. There are many other bad things I have heard about him, but that's the one that comes to mind first.

Agree. However, do you expect anything else from any type of Government?

My brother in law owns a dealer in the Woodstock area. Let me know if I can help you find something. He buys these all the time.

Nope. Not at all. Hence the reason I am an anarchist, but that is OT, so I'll leave it at that.
