Great news I can now present you with the official UGA license plate for Alabama. This tag design has been approved by the University of Georgia and the State of Alabama. Were hoping to have the remaining paper work turned in and to have this tag image placed on the Alabama DMV soon. So you guys can start pre ordering the tags . Stay tuned for more updates and please share.

The Alabama UGA plate looks more UGA than the state of Georgia one.

I'd like to keep our relationship On an e-basis. I don't want to reveal my identity to a stranger on Facebook. No offense. But...

Question. Since Alabama/UGA agreed on this plate and it'll soon hit the AL DMV... Do all registered Alabama UGA alumni get an email sent to them to sign up for the tag?

In other words, what needs to happen for EVERYONE to know that this license plate is available for Alabama residents. There needs to be more than Facebook to get the word out. I just hope those in charge of alumni groups in Alabama are diligent about getting locals to sign up.

We need 1,000 pre commits. According to the UGA Alumni Association, there are roughly 7,000-8,000 registered alumni in Alabama. If we get just 20% of just alumni to sign up... That's well over the 1,000 goal.

Just get the word out. I mean it.

Go Dawgs!

That's my guess.

I went to the Alabama DMV website and a lot of their new tags with the new designs have the heart.

Lol Im already on your friends list but cool no problem. To answer your questions yes the alumni association has agreed to send out at least one mass email to all registered alumni in alabama. The plate will be made available to anyone living in alabama. Social media is what got us the NC UGA tag and it will be the primary vehicle to get us this one in alabama. If you want to get more involved message me on the page I am a admin.
