Real Talk...Mett played a hell of a game and that was a great game to watch.
Yes he did and what a game!! D is still showing their youth but good grief, way to give me a heart attack Dawgs. Whew! Just hope Gurley is ok for next week. Was disappointed that Marshall didn't have a break out performance with this opportunity. I want that so bad for him.

How can anyone talk shite about our D? Blame that dumbass Grantham! Who rushes 3 on 3rd and 23? Stupid bastard damn near cost us the game.

It was a great night to have a house full of recruits.

Marshall had over 90 yards. Not great, but not bad either

Does he ever get tackled? He always seems to trip over someones hand or arm.

There was a lot of confusion and the commentators were picking up on a lot of it. Still a lot of learning going on. Makes you wonder if because of their inexperience, if they were executing with a high level of excellence, would TG's scheme seem better? Just wondering. Agree with the rushing 3 on 3d and waaaay long. Should have put more pressure on Mett. They were in prevent and still got gouged. Having said that, setting his past issues aside, can't deny that Mett has a helluva arm. Kid can thread that needle.

True...just didn't make the D look feckless the way Gurley does. Really want to see him get that buzz like Gurley does. DGD and highly touted/recruited as well. Just want him to get that buzzworthy breakout performance too. Would have liked to see him get a couple more passes his way and get Lynch a couple more opportunities as well. Better game calling than we've seen in the past though. However, with Marshall in the game they continue a Gurley-centric approach and don't seem to adjust to Marshall's strengths. It's all minor gripes on my part though. Really not as much to complain about offensively in this one. O-line continues to improve and Murray had a great game.
When will we see Rumph??? Really want to see what he can do.

Yea, Marshall isnt going to live up to his hype. Hes kinda one dimensional. Hes great on the outside and in space and thats why he gets a lot of dump passes. Hes just not a bruiser like Gurley

Kid rushed for, what, 800+ yards last year as a true frosh and 90 against an SEC D. He's not Gurley but he's special as by himself.

I'm not sure if you can say he won't live up to the hype. Him and Gurley each put together very good freshman seasons. Marshall was the 5 star prospect and was more coveted than Gurley but it's clear Gurley is a beast and the more complete back. Any back having to currently live up to what Gurley brings is gonna fall short. At the very least Marshall will continue to be a perfect compliment to a healthy Gurley. They're both good backs but Gurley is special as long as he stays healthy.

^THIS^
Personally, I'd like to see them use Marshall in some of those crazy WR/DB reverse plays that they dialed up for Boykin and Branden Smith. At least that way, by the time Marshall got back to the line, he'd be at full speed.
I know we were giving CMB shite on here when some of the press said that AM and the RBs were lined up in some triple option formations when the practices were open recently, but if someone like Marshall excels in open space, then come up with something where he doesn't have to get up to speed trying to bust through the tackles like Gurley does.

Kinda reminds me of when Joe T was running QB draws that were designed for DJ Shockley. Need to get Marshall in space more. He is a finesse runner not a power back like TGII. Line up in a twins formation and then run a quick pitch to the weak side so hopefully he only has to beat one guy to the corner.

Marshall can be extremely deadly on the edge and with Gurley blasting through the middle our rushing attack will be a force
