i liked it...especially the part where it was showing people in Atlanta...or a far distance away enjoying all things UGA from a computer screen....HELLO...
its not a football hype video with big hits and all that getting the heart racing...but rather a video about the greatest damn state in the Union's flagship university and how it gets in your blood...even a sidewalker like myself...
that "country bumpkin"...is extremely representative of where we are and where we come from...he probably donates thousands of dollars to the school and is an alum from the 60's or something...how many in the farming and agricultural industry across this great state hold a degree from UGA in Ag Engineering talk just like that?..I'd wager a bunch...

I liked it. It's not a rah rah video but I assume it will be played 30-45 minutes before kickoff. And only the hardest of die-hard fans are in the stadium that early.
I am interested to see what we do Saturday to honor the Greatest Bulldog of All.

I'm torn. As a hype/pre-game video, it doesn't really work. On the other hand, my job requires me to do a lot of media production, so I can appreciate the quality of the video. It's a great "we're all in this together" piece.

That video did nothing for me. Nothing. Not once did my pulse quicken. My heart rate never changed. I couldn't stand the mans voice. It was beyond redemption when he said "en-tar nation." I am a eighth generation Georgian whose first Georgia grandfather arrived in this State in 1758. I am a UGA Alum whose paternal grandfather was in the first graduating class of The Franklin College at UGA. I have a distinct southern drawl myself but nothing like that. A poster mentioned that he sounds like an elderly Forrest Gump and I agree that is an accurate comparison. It was almost as if they went over board on the gumpish narration believing it would be more endearing to multi-generational Georgians. They truly missed the mark.

Not at all. I live in a pretty rural area and even our old timers rarely talk with that much of an exaggerated drawl. The few who do should not be selected to narrate a video promoting our great University. They could have easily found someone with a typical southern drawl and a commanding baritone voice. Hell, they went out of their way to find that guy. I wonder how many voice auditions they went through to find the most bumpkin voice in the State?

I'm pretty sure they are playing it, just nobody knows when.
