my preference is ALWAYS a home & home; but I understand that this just does not always work within the reality of how scheduling works in today's world

it is awesome that we worked out a home & home with ND (I am going to this game - hell or high water; already have a room booked in Chicago!)

we have NEVER played Oklahoma - a damn shame

I would LOVE to play them & that would be my 1st priority if I were ADGM

get us a game against them in Dallas or Green Bay

would also be awesome to get Penn State as a season opener - maybe play them in Yankee Stadium? How cool would that be?

a season opener against Michigan in Chicago would also be kind of awesome; we have only played them once, in The Big House

I also REALLY want home & home series against West VA & Pitt - we need to clean up our record against those guys

Lastly, we need to figure out a way to play FSU at least once or twice a decade

West coast teams? USC is obvious; but a series against Stanford would be cool

getting a game against Oklahoma would be my 1st priority

scheduling home openers in some cool venues (Lambeau, Soldier Field, Yankee Stadium - hell even Jerry World in Dallas) - would be my 2nd priority - give the faithful a great home opener road trip - something other than Atlanta

thoughts?

My preference would be that we play none of those teams. Something like UNC like this past year is just about right IMO.

Its' been how long that we've gone through the SEC undefeated? It's been how long since we've had an undefeated overall season? We aren't nearly good enough to be at the point where we're intentionally making things harder on ourselves by playing USC or Oklahoma in addition to 8 SEC games, tech, and an SECCG.

The goal is to make the playoffs, not have cool vacations for the fans.

I dont want any of that.

Have a home and home with a team once every 5 years. Play in Atlanta once every 5 years, and just have Georgia Tech on the schedule for the other two years.

We dont need to have the toughest OOC game every year. We play a 8 game SEC schedule and against Georgia Tech each year. Thats about enough.

I dont care who the home and home is against, and Id like to keep playing ACC or east coast teams in Atlanta. Virginia Tech, West Virginia, or Syracuse(if Babers gets them back to respectability).

Well,we really to play some type of name opponent at
home on odd years. As discussed earlier our home odd
year schedules are a hot pile of garbage.

Gotta give season ticket holders SOME type of value or get the WLOCP out of Jax.

UW or UO because it's close to home. UW in centurylink would be awesome. Pacific NW in Sept is heaven.

I have seen pics of the Utes home stadium - just stunning

I would LOVE to see that matchup as well; especially since they are PAC 12 now

BYU would be OK, but I would want the Utes 1st

Obviously you are right from a playoff standpoint. I was just going by teams I would like to see us play strictly from an entertainment/fan standpoint.

I would do a permanent home and home with Colorado. I will be at south bend next year and LA when we play ucla if it's not cancelled. I would hav gone to Oregon and Ohio st if they weren't cancelled.

I think first we need to figure out how to play the other SEC teams more often.

I like Auburn as a permanent div rival, but I think it would be neat for teams to drop one interdivisional game each year and play a 3rd cross-divisional game.

You also have to think about our permanent GT game.

That takes a home game away from us every other year.

Doing these other home and aways also takes home games away.

You could end up only getting 5 home games a year by the time you get this all mixed up.

ETA- if you could get GT to agree to it, you only play them every other year, and fill that spot with these home and aways every other year, staggered.

2020- GT at home
2021- Oregon away
2022- GT at GT
2023- Oregon at home

The Bulldogs and UCLA will play a home-and-home football series in 2025 and 2026. Georgia will play the Bruins at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Aug. 30 to open up the ‘25 season and the return game in Athens the next year at Sanford Stadium will be on Sept. 5.

Oklahoma State - that was a great trip and we need to get revenge.
Kansas State - just to play against Bill Snyder.
Arizona or Arizona State - great places to visit.
Syracuse, Rutgers, Penn State, Utah, Wisconsin, Miami.
