So anyway, Condon does it again in the bottom of the 7th.

2 run homer.

4-2 Dawgs.

Condon.

Why not - Goldstein hits a two run homer in the bottom of the 7th as well.

6-2 Dawgs, still one out in the bottom of the 7th.

Then Condon in the top of the 9th with a great defensive stop and throw from 3d base to get the first out.

Best player we've ever had.

DAWGS WIN!

7-2 to take the series from the Rebs.

Second game of the double-header starts at 6:00pm as the Dawgs go for the sweep.

Game two, bottom of the third. Condon hits a double, steals third and scores on the throwing error.

1-0 Dawgs, still batting in the bottom of the third.

Jarvis Evans with 5 Ks in a row and then a weak ground out to get us to the bottom of the 5th.

1-0 Dawgs.

Ole Miss strikes back in the top of the 6th.

2-1 Ole Miss as we go to the Georgia half of the inning.

Georgia pitching struggles some in the 7th.

Heading to the bottom of the 7th, Ole Miss leads 3-1.

Bases loaded two-out error by shortstop allows Georgia to score.

3-2 Georgia at the end of 7.

Bottom of the 9th inning.

Top of the order:

1. Collins strikes out looking;

2. Condon with a stand up double;

3. Alford out on an infield grounder that freezes Condon at second; and

4. King strikes out swinging.

Dawgs miss out on the sweep.

Had the chance at another sweep and didn’t finish.

Gauntlet coming up ahead of us. Go Dawgs

Like I’ve said before, don’t panic if we go 0-4 over this next stretch. I think the ceiling is 2-2 with 1-3 being just fine

If you’re going to downvote, chime in and say it with your chest. We’re about to play a really good Clemson squad and head to College Station to play maybe the best A&M squad I’ve seen them field since they joined the conference. This will be our toughest 4 game stretch this season, after which we should be in decent shape to reach that magic 14 number in conference wins (if we can steal a win in CS and at least 1 in Columbia, I like us to hit 15)

Up to #20 in D1Baseball rankings this week. Was really glad to see Hoskins and Goldstein back throwing and throwing well on Saturday. No clue who we go with tomorrow vs Clemson but we’ve got options for the first time in a while.
