Keeping my fingers crossed, but our history with the NCAA isn't encouraging. Maybe we'll fare better now that the former NCAA director of enforcement has returned to his Auburn home.

There is so much support for Gurley, there is no way the NCAA dares to play with fire

Has anyone read the new NCAA rules?

The NCAA has no control over the situation

The UGA athletic department is just incompetent

Covering up "a lack of institutional control" is a bitch when you lack institutional control

Are you saying that UGA is guilty of LOIC?

Hey, so what do you use to clean your sink? Or do you just kind of let it go and hope no one notices the aroma?

I shoot a squirt of Palmolive in the drain and then turn on the garbage disposal. It's like flushing :)

The NCAA isn't even involved at this point and I don't think they care to change that given the O'Bannon ruling. This is a case they really hope gets handled and resolved by UGA's compliance office if I had to guess.

As much crap as we're giving the UGA AD, we gotta remember....they're privy to more information than we are and they know more about the implications of any of those details than we do. They have a reason for handling this the way they have and my guess is it will work out in Gurley's best interests as well as those of the team.

Time will tell.

I don't think most UGA fans are giving our AD any crap over this. A vocal minority on the message boards, and a few opponent fans hoping to create dissent, have jumped to extreme conclusions based on no knowledge of the facts. My guess is that UGA has good reasons for proceeding the way they have.
