Louisville and Kansas St. are legit and both would probably have beaten us in a bowl game this season.

You don't know that. It's pointless to assume another team would have "probably" beaten us if we never played them. We were "probably" playing the best football in the country in 07 (post Tennessee debacle) and "probably" would be in contention this year if it weren't for the decimating injuries. You see how that works?

Yes, I understand how it works but perhaps you are reading too much into my intent. The word, probably, simply means that something is likely or that that probability of said event favors its occurrence. Louisville is ranked #18 and only lost one game to UCF so they would definitely have been favored over UGA. However, Kansas St. in retrospect is unranked and Georgia probably would have been a slight favorite in a bowl game against them but without Murray and JHC in the secondary, if I was a betting man, I would have to pick Kansas St. after the way they completely owned Michigan. It would have been a good matchup.

Georgia last played Miami in 1966, losing 6-7. It was Georgia's only loss that year.

From the 1940's-the 1950's, Georgia usually played Miami in Miami after the Tech game...an excuse for the players to go to the Beach. That tradition ended with the proliferation of bowl games.
