Ferguson wasn't likely to play this year anyway. He was the most talented QB on the UT depth chart, but he wasn't there mentally yet. Didn't have the playbook down at all and there is no reason for them to have thrown him in this year with no OL and a weak grasp of the plays. He was the future, though, they need a big commit this year.

Dobbs and Worley aren't going to cut it. Maybe if UT was stacked everywhere else, they could get away with that QB chart, but not as barren as that team is going into the season.

UT was never the trap game. Only ones that even qualify this year are Arky and UK. Doubt we are going to step into either of those traps, FWIW.

Man... I just hate having to go to CoMo & have to turn around & go right back to Little Rock in 8 days time. That's kinda rough...

I agree, and people are far too hung up about the bama game. BUT, like it or not, that's the ONLY thing that'll get talked about when we wear them again. I'm not a negative nancy by any stretch, but whenever we do decide to wear them again it damn well BETTER be a game that we feel pretty confident in winning. If we lose our next game we play in them we'll never hear the end of it.

Personally, I'd like to see us use them like ND uses their greens. Once every 5 or 6 years for a huge game. And let it be known ahead of time, that way it's not "ooh UGA needs some fake juice to get pumped up for such and such.."

Once per year, provided the team has "earned" it. I hated the choice of wearing them for Bama pregame because I felt that game was going to be a trap and we were getting big heads...black jerseys that time were only going to make the heads bigger and the effort smaller and Richt should have seen that. He should have straight up told them they needed to earn them and had nothing absolutely nothing so far that season to earn them.

I want to bring them back though, they've been shelved too long. I'd like them a bit more refined, the last ones were awesome, but looked a bit like a very well done school project. Once per season provided the team has "earned" them. So we would rarely see them in the first couple of big games, it would be a late season thing we broke out for Auburn, GT (if they ever get back on the horse), and Florida mostly.

Speaking of, I really want to use them in the WLOCP. Especially since the schools decided to allow both teams to wear colors from here on out.

Arkansas plays much better at home

To be fair, we aren't playing at their home. I haven't been there yet, but I imagine the crowd in little rock won't be nearly as raucous as in fayetteville. I'd also assume there will be far less students.

Idk..I gotta disagree there.

Not sure why that matters, but if you reeeeeaaallllly wanted to split hairs, Frank Sinkwich wore a black jersey in '42 a few times.

That's fine I'm sure we disagree on wearing ball caps backwards, sideways and drawing pictures all over ones body as well.

And how do you know Frank wore a black jersey in 1942 did he leave it to you in his will?

Pigs in state are tough but, if it's in Little Rock I don't know if that's a huge difference or not so I will defer comment.

Herschel didn't need a Thug-Out but, they did get to wear the silver britches in 1980.

I don't know your opinion on it. I haven't done so since high school and can only think of very few instances where someone post-college would be doing so. What's your stance?

I think tattoos all over someone looks pretty retarded. I have 1, but it's not visible unless I want it to be and it actually has meaning to me, unlike a tribal tat or a flower or something.

I never said he wore it in a game, I said he wore it. I don't think the magazine photographer decided to airbrush whatever he was actually wearing with black instead.

herschel didn't need too much of anything to win games.

I love it when Barberitos does this number. He wants it to incite some sort of separate conversation that we all know, but it really just makes him come across as someone who didn't get enough attention growing up. At least most other alters are funny.

Personally, I don't care for the black jerseys(I think they are gimmicky and less attractive, black is my least favorite color...hell it's not even a color...)but if the players want them, I support them....

What's the problem with wearing caps backwards? I do it sometime, I wouldn't think it's a question of class or education... (I mean, I still wear snap-backs) I have a tattoo also, in honor of a friend that died...dead square in the middle of my back..

What says you?

I wouldn't discount TN for a moment. No one on this board gave them a tinker's dam worth of chance last year.

That is a very, very good coach and now in his second year and with his second class.

It will be a close game, we better bring our lunch and play well.

I never thought UT was a trap game. Starting the season with a duct-taped O & D line, no proven QB, two former UGA d-coordinators, etc. if the Dawgs tcb, they should be in pretty good shape, barring last season type injuries.

Hold on. We are not playing Arkansas at their home? I thought it was in Fayetteville this year. What is this Little Rock you guys are talking about?

The Arkansas-Georgia game will be in Little Rock instead of Fayetteville where the teams played in 2004. LINK

Arkansas used to play a few games in Little Rock throughout the season but as is noted in the linked article only one Arkansas game will be played in Little Rock beginning this upcoming season.
