The teckies looked better than last year but that has to be tempered with reality. Fla St is 1970s bad, before Bobby. They have not recruited very well, that definitely needs to pick up. They look like a lost program right now.

I didnt think they looked better.
Sims did good things to go along with his bad things. If that is better, then so be it. But fsu has lost 4 straight to tech. The noles have gotten crushed by the ACC the past couple of seasons. Last saturday was just more of the same.

They actually have though.Not Bobby Bowden level but they have some top 10 finishes and are currently 8th in
blue chip.ratio (if you consider an important stat)
I really haven't given their roster a close look so the roster/position mgt could be a complete disaster
or full of Freshmen and Sophomores

As we all know, recruiting is all relative to what the other guy is doing. When I saw Fla St play last year I thought they had the poorest O line play I had seen in a while. I am not sure it is any better this year. Bobby recruited at a high level after he got it going. This new coach has his work cut out for him. They need to give him time to get it done and I think it may take a while.

I get that but it doesn't mean they don't have blue chippers in other position groups capable of making plays and regardless of the O-line they never should have been manhandled by GT and their 1st year HC

Agree with this, but it is awfully hard to win games when you suck at OL and at QB. I posted this in page 1 of this thread, but FSU looks like a 1-10 team this year who will only beat Jacksonville State. Taggart left that program in horrendous shape. It's going to take them 5 years at the absolute minimum to recover from hiring Taggart.
Also, Collins is in his 2nd year.
