Defensively I thought I saw a stat that said we led the nation with 18 straight take aways.....
I don't worry to much about our D-line and LB corp.....but our perimeter play could be better. They gave up 200+ yards in passing to ULM and Vandy so that is what I base my critique of the secondary on.
Hopefully USCe's rookie QB makes some mistakes that they could capitalize on. A few picks, maybe a pick 6 could help the secondary gain a little more confidence and help shore them into a more solid unit.

The ULM one was bad, but Vandy threw 50 passes. It's extremely rare to see a team throw that many passes and not hit 200 yards. 300 is right around normal with that many passes and they had 295.

While the ULM one was bad on the face of it, and I'm not denying that, basically all the damage they did in the entire game was in 2 drives that bookended halftime. they still count obviously, but it's not like they sustained long drives all day on us. Also of note is that that was the first college game ever for a ton of new guys. If we played ULM in November I'm quite sure they wouldn't have that much success against us.
But still, as of now, pass D is a concern. I have the utmost faith in pruitt so I know it'll eventually get shored up, I just hope it's soon.

Including that ULM QB. He impressed me a bit. Even if his mechanics looked a little like Colt Brennan's. Only worse.

We have to get our Passing Game fixed.May see Ramsey more in this Game.They are having Problems stopping the run,so Chubby's gonna get his 100 plus Yards.I wouldn't be surprised in Sony get's 100 too.I say we dazzle them some,and Wildcat McKensie a few times too boot.Schotty's gonna have to show me more than the last Two Games,or we are in trouble.I'm really hoping Schotty was sand baggin' alittle the last Two games.But We need to get the Ball in McKensie's hands more,He's a difference maker for sure...

Dude will throw for 250+ with 2 TD's.....ou defense will have him thinking he should have been the starter all along. Our defense would make me look like a Heisman contender.....they have done it to 2 QB's this season who wouldn't be a ball boy at most SEC schools....

I was almost right on with my vandy prediction (shocking, I know!) but this one is a bit tougher to call.
Despite how much better we are on paper it woudln't shock me at all for it to be somewhat close, and I think they'll score on us some just because they're going to throw everything they have at us. So for now I'll go
