Bobo needs to watch the 2009 Bama-USC game and how they ran the wildcat with Ingram the last drive. Gurley ran it well against Nebraska a couple of seasons ago and with Chubb and Michel back there with him it would be pretty hard to stop. USC would have to choose which RB they want to donate stats to.

If they want to play man-to-man outside then we need to put McKenzie and Davis in there and throw deep. Their corners have been horrible at jamming receivers and if there's no safety help over top then they can easily be burned.
If they load the box, they are screwed. Bringing the safeties up will lead to big plays, both running and passing. They have been getting killed in zone, so that must mean they are not confident with those young guys playing man. USC's best chance is to try and find gaps in our D and win the turnover battle. They will have to score on offense and if we stop Davis......this game is over.

See, told ya we'd be back to normal soon. I just saw too much in that Clemson game that scares me.

Same here, buddy. They surprised me last game so hopefully they keep doing it.

They will definitely load up to stop our running game, so they may be even more vulnerable to a short, quick, precision passing game. Murray became very good at it his last two years. I think Mason should excel at it as well. This will be the week we find out.
My take also....while Mason has not shown Murray like ability if there is one thing Mark Richt can do it is coach up Quarterbacks. This will be a perfect opportunity for Mason to put his stamp on this team and get Murray out of the minds of UGA fans. I don't think we can win this game, however, unless we can throw the ball....Clemson gave the nation a perfect example of what not to do with UGA...if we go 3 and out a bunch and fail to get USC off the field we won't wear their defense down like we did Clemson's...and USC is in week 3 condition where Clemson was in week 1 condition. I fully expect a typical UGA/USC dogfight with UGA coming out on top by less than a TD and under 30 points.

They will load the box with 8 or 9, play tight coverage and challenge Mason to beat them. If Gurley can still get good yardage with them loading the box, then we could win by 2 TD's or more. If not, then it depend on how well Mason plays. TO's and special teams might well be the difference in the which should favor Georgia
If we can average 4 yards a carry with 8-9 people in the box there ain't a team in the world that can beat us....I don't think we can, unless we can establish some sort of passing game to keep USC honest....Gurley is great and our offensive line manhandled Clemson BUT were kept their defense on the field by getting their offense off the field...if we can't get pressure on USC QB we ain't getting them off the field quick....

Georgia also doesn't have near the same caliber of pass attack. No amount of Kool Aid can cover that up. I'm still convinced this game is close as hell.
Agree. Without Mitchell and JSW, it comes down to whether guys who aren't normally thought of as downfield threats can have monster games. Or if somebody like Tibbs or Davis emerges.
Key stat: Georgia hasn’t gotten more than 20 points in Columbia since 1994 when Mike Bobo was a backup quarterback in his freshman season.

If we can control Clemsons offense I feel really good about doing the same with USCe. Also, even if they load the box to stop the run Gurley is gonna get his. I'm actually starting to feel better about this game. That scares me.

Should be the first play on offense for the game. They're expecting us to run. Let's throw the deep ball first. Score quick and take the crowd out of the game.
While I think this definitely provides us with a great chance to score, my biggest concern is what happens if we don't complete that pass. That leaves us with an obvious run on 2nd down (because Todd has to get the ball at some point in the 1st possession) and if they sniff that out we will be in a 3rd and long situation. I think we should take that shot after our first 1st down of the game.

Or worse yet, if it's picked off. Talk about firing up the SC and the crowd even more.
I think we need a balanced attack. Tight ends and throwing to backs might help if we don't feel confident in going deep.

Frick frick frick. If SCU is able to stop the run I can easily see mason getting rattled. Nightmare visions of GAy Tech first half and Nebraska Q's 1-3. Of course we didn't have a healthy Todd Feed the Beast Gurley in those contests either.
If we had MM and JSW we'd kill them either way. I sure hope (as odd as this sounds) that JSW really is injured and this isn't some BS "twisted ankle vs Clemson, move his suspension" crap like was rumored 2 weeks ago. That really would be the UGA way.
