Did y'all expect Gurley to be better than Marshall before the first game? Every game I've watch of y'all he seems to me as being the more impressive RB.

I honestly expected Marshall to outshine him a little but honest tonight they both kicked arse.

Always thought that Gurley had something special, great vision, agility and heart. He's improving with each game that he plays and is without question got the most talent of the two. That being said, Marshall will do a lot of great things at UGA, although he is currently further behind the curve than Todd is.

Well during the recruiting process Marshall was obviously the big prize coming into the class but during the spring and going into the season there was alot of talk about gurley being the real deal so there was an idea of how good he was gonna be. Gurley was obviously more "ready" to play but Marshall has a Huge upside. These guys are gonnna be alot of fun to watch playing for the good guys the next few yrs.

I honestly thought Gurley would be the better back since he's bigger but I had no idea he'd be this damn good.

2012's class lacked quantity but has delivered quality. Gurley and Marshall will be a special duo, Theus will get better each week and leave as a 4 year starter, 59 has shown he can be very disruptive off the edge, and Josh Dawson has looked good when he has played.

This

Also...Jay Rome...what is going on with him if Artie Lynch is the better option at TE.

Another one everyone was slobbering over a couple of years ago and who I said would never sniff the field going in...Sterling Bailey. Still havent heard his name called...just sayin.

Artie is like a seventh year senior. Rome will be okay. I had a good feeling about Gurley ever since I saw him in the Shrine bowl I think it was. Whatever it was the man ran the ball like 30+ times and carried his team to the victory.

Too early to say. Both have a chance to be real special, I wouldn't sell Marshall short just yet, his set up of the block on the DB causing loss of angle and speed for the DB on the TD run was just perfect. A freshman, Michael Turner still doesn't get that shite.

They are coughing the ball up less than I normally expect from freshmen. They are fast, find the holes, run the play as it's practiced and don't improvise as much, which I understand can be hard to train a guy to do right out of high school where he pretty much improvised his team's way to victory week after week. There is alot of unlearning involved that typically takes place with new players, and I'm happy to see they both seem to be unlearning very well. Crowell is an amazing talent, but he was slow to unlearn. Also, I finally like having a true running back by committee scenario again, we haven't had that since the Donnan days.
