Did Bama break the D's arms or something? In the Bama game and UTk game the tackling once the ball carrier got behind our DL has been horrendous. DL seemed to stuff the run pretty good against UTk but once past that we couldn't wrap up and tackle for shite. I only got to watch the first half (thank God or I'd be out a TV right now). But what I saw blowing through the secondary was awful. Are you guys seeing the same thing? I thought Pruitt was fixing those woes?

Whole lot of arm tackling and poor positioning.

I thought Pruitt had improved them in this area, but it seems regression has occurred.

I've been on (and still consider myself on) the CJP bandwagon and I'm willing to give him another year or two to get a full recruiting cycle under his coaching but man that has been painful to watch.

Rico McGraw deserves some credit. He is a straight baller. Malcolm Parrish has played extremely well. Those are our best tacklers on the back end of the D

Everyone else looks over matched and uninspired. Sanders and Mauger look horrible. Throw Abram in with that shitty group. I don't see how he won playing time. He is a liability every time he steps on the field. I mean Bryan Evans bad

Tackling form break down due to exhaustion? 90+ plays will probably do that.

D-Line was fine except when the QB ran the ball. He was invisible to them.

Sanders and Mauger have looked shite from the start of each game. I agree that our defense is getting a bad rap based on TOP, but the tackling in general has been horrid and unacceptable. This goes deeper than Tennessee

If our defense doesn't like being on the field for 90 plays they should make a stop. 3 and outs kept our offense off the field for most of the game.....maybe they try, just every once in a while, to keep the opposing team from picking up first downs. I don't know but back in my day (like last Saturday about 3:30 EST) it was the defenses job to get the other teams offense off the field. Somehow that changed between 3:30 and 5 o'clock or so Saturday. Now apparently the defenses job is to wait for the offense to hold the ball while they take a nap, eat a sandwich, pay some bills.

Yes, it would be better if we didn't punt every 4-5 plays......but it would also help some if we could force our opponents to do the same, at least in the first half,......

Who me? I'm no alter Is that inevitable on the GSB--get accused of being an alter? Never thought I'd hear that directed at me.

CB- Malcolm Parrish
CB- Devin Bowman
FS- Rico McGraw
SS- Dominick Sanders
Star- Jarvis Wilson

Give me these 5 in our secondary at all times. Quincy Mauger and Jonathan Abrams do not deserve to see the field the rest of the year. They've done absolutely nothing of significance through 6 games this year.
