The only two teams we've both played are Tenn and Ole Miss.

Bama 44 Tenn 13
UGA 51 Tenn 44


Bama 33 Ole Miss 14
UGA 37 Ole Miss 10

I know Bama has the #1 defense in the country, by the numbers, but Florida is #4, and we beat them.


Why is it a foregone conclusion that Bama will win? I know they have more depth and UGA's kicking game sucks, but based on the two litmus tests above, it seems reasonable to expect a close game.

More data...

In each of our last 3 SEC games (which both include a top ten opponent)..

Bama's D gave up 12.3 points average.
(LSU, Miss St, Tenn)

UGA's D gave up 14.3 points average.
(Ole Miss, Florida, Kentucky)

That's pretty close.
